Q & A:

What type of meditation do we practice?

This practice focuses on the foundational breathing techniques of Vipassana meditation, which is what the Buddha taught several millennia ago. We focus on breath sensation as a way to cultivate awareness and train the mind toward quiet and ease.

What is Yoga for anyBody?

Yoga for anyBody is a practice that is accessible, nourishing, and gentle. Yoga for anyBody stems from the teachings of emBodied Yoga School and is inclusive and trauma-informed. Each practitioner is encouraged to listed to their own body and honor their own wisdom. You are your best teacher. Yoga for anyBody leans into that knowledge in an effort to cultivate a practice that feels liberating and nourishing for the entire body-mind-spirit.

What is a Chakra Workshop and Sound Bath?

This deeply restorative experience offers participants an opportunity to utilize supported yoga postures and sound vibration to release and align our body's energetic epicenters, or the seven main chakras. In western medicine, the 7 chakras correspond with our body's major glandular systems: adrenal, pineal, thymus, reproductive, pituitary, and thyroid. You can expect to leave feeling better than when you arrived.

What kind of meals can I expect?

Meals are healthy, nourishing, and vegetarian. Every meal includes vegan and gluten-free options and accounts for potential allergens.

What is SoulCollage?

SoulCollage incorporates imagery and reflection through the art of collage. We create individual cards that represent some of our major archetypes and seek to learn what messages they hold for us. It is a fun, beautiful, and empowering process.

What is a Letter from Love?

Elizabeth Gilbert, author of many books including the well-known Eat, Pray, Love, started a daily practice of writing “Letters from Love” to herSelf. It is this vulnerable and authentic practice that inspired this transformational retreat. Liz, thank you for sharing your light with the world so that we may explore, learn, and grow with you!

In our Letters from Love workshop, we focus on the child-self archetype and write letters to our littlest Self from Love. We will also ask Love other questions like, “What would you have me to know about fear/anxiety/self-protection?” These are open prompts that create spaciousness to channel our divine inner wisdom. The outcome of this tender practice is ultimately life-changing.

What is a Fire Ceremony?

Our evening fire ceremony will create opportunities to debrief, integrate, and share about our experiences. What do we want to leave behind and what do we want to bring with us into our next chapter? It is a time to share, explore connections, and dive deeper into making meaning out of individual and shared experiences.
